Claudia Wikse Barrow
M(Sc) Landscape Architecture

Claudia is currently working as a landscape architect on the Dean Gardens proposal. Her focus is on community consultation, design development and production. The project goals are to rejuvenate the space for the local community, provide exciting play facilities, and integrate the park with the surrounding streets and wider neighbourhood.

Claudia has past experience working in multidisciplinary practices in the UK and the Netherlands. She has developed a key interest in urban communities and has done research on how tactile engagements of community gardeners foster an experienced sense of place. Claudia has brought this people-centred approach as well as unique graphic and representational skillset to the projects she works on, and has a strong interest and experience in craft & art. She is currently doing a pottery class in her spare time.

Claudia was a winner of ‘Best Performing Student’ Award and nominated for ‘ECA Collection Acquisition’ Award at the University of Edinburgh where she graduated with a distinction. She was also a finalist for the Landscape Institute ‘Local Landscape Planning’ award as a part of the HTA Design team.
